Trainers have access to all the general user reports and to the trainer appraisal report
The report is designed to show training activity that has been delivered over the previous 12 months and is calculated exclusively from operations recorded by trainees where the trainer is the "responsible consultant"
If two trainees record the same operation then the operation will be counted twice in this report therefore the report should be interpreted as showing training episodes delivered not surgical operations undertaken
The peer group are all surgeons in the specialty and in UK who have been recorded as the responsible consultant in at least five procedures
